The
Son’s of the American Legion, Squad 272 Scholarship
Program
The Son’s of the American
Legion, Squad 272 is sponsoring one $500.00 scholarship for a deserving boy
and girl from the graduating seniors in our area. This scholarship award has been established and
dedicated to the memories of a Legionnaire and an Auxiliary member who is no
longer with us. This years Legionnaire is Boyd T. Aikey, the
Auxiliary member is Doris L. Fosnacht. Applicants will be required to submit a 300 – 350
word Essay on “What it means to be an American”. Applicants will have to submit their essay by April

information will be held in confidence. Eligible
applicants will be accepted from the Funds
will be paid directly to the institution named by the winners and can be
used for any valid institution to further their education. This would
include trade and technical schools as well as colleges. Fred
