Thank you for
a successful year. The Bar-B-Qs went very well for the most part and we have
realized profits that will go far to support our financial obligations. We
ran several raffles that were also successful because of your help and
cooperation. All of the events that we have been involved in went very well.
The Christmas Party was held during one of the worst storms of the winter
and participation was overwhelming. None of the many kids that showed up
were disappointed. Our membership is up with over 140 members including 26
new members. In all we have had a very good year and are off to an even
better 2008. I must call
on you again this year for your continued participation in the upcoming
events. We will need help for the Past Presidents Banquet, which will be
held on March 22. We hope to have a packed house and cannot do that if you
all do not come. So come on out and enjoy a fine meal and the camaraderie of
the club. Also on March 22 will be the Annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the
ALA. Our contribution to this event is mostly financial but it was great to
see all of the Sons that showed up in the bitter cold for last year’s
event. We will have several things going on for Memorial Day. We will be
placing flags at veteran’s graves prior to Memorial Day and helping with
the Memorial Day Parade. Of course we will have the Bar-B-Qs, the schedule
is not out yet but they will soon be starting up. I would like
to thank all of you for your help and participation during the 2007-year and
thank you in advance for the same this year. We have a squad that we all can
be proud of. Pete Pappas SAL Commander
