Honor Guard Column

* HONOR GUARD DETAILS *

Just like the Marines, we are looking for a few good men and women.  If you are looking for a way to honor our veterans, consider joining Post 272 Honor Guard.  We provide funeral honors, attend post functions, conduct a yearly flag burning ceremony and provide honors at seventeen cemeteries Memorial Day morning as a “warm up” to marching in the Memorial Day parade in Linglestown.  We have uniforms, weapons, an automated bugle and a van to get us where we need to go.  We offer training for any position on the team – firing, flag folding, flag presentation and flag holding.  We have provided services to many of the local funeral homes in the past and are re-establishing that bond.

 To all Honor Guard members – please make a point of getting in touch with Al Saxton or Ed Hine with your latest phone numbers and e-mail addresses.  It is essential that we have current information for contact purposes.  You can’t find a better way to honor our veterans than through the Post Honor Guard.
