Hi everyone,

 I hope everyone is doing well and has had a great winter.  Now that the weather is getting warm get out and lend a hand to help support our veterans.

 We have been busy with helping the legion and son's with the annual Easter Egg Hunt.  We having been working with the legion and the son's since January on organizing the Memorial Day Parade.  This year Unit 272 will have a Poppy Princess.  She is 6 years old and the granddaughter of our unit secretary, Tawna Wilson.  May is poppy month and all of the donations the we collect goes for project for our veterans and active military.  Every little bit helps.

We are going to be collecting for the Wounded Warriors.  There will be more to come on that project.

Our last meeting is the 1st Tuesday in June.  We don't hold any meetings in July and August. We have changed our meeting day and time.  Starting in September our meetings will be the 4th Sunday of the month at 6:30pm.  We are hoping that this change will enable more ALA members to attend our meetings.  There will be a mailing coming out notifying the complete ALA membership of this change.

We will no longer be mailing membership cards to our members that are local.  This will include all local areas in the Harrisburg area.  Your membership cards will be at the post.  Please see the bartender for your membership card.  If you are not in our local area, your membership cards will be mailed.  This is due to the increased cost of postage.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cost.

We hope to see some new faces at our September meeting.  Come out and help support a good cause, our veterans.
